Home / About Us “Creatively networking God’s people around the world to translate the Bible into every language for His glory” is the vision of The Seed Company. The Seed Company was established by Wycliffe Bible Translators to develop and implement new methods to accelerate the Bible translation process. That includes partnering with national translators, or mother tongue speakers, to do the work of Bible translation for the remaining 2200 languages without any portion of God’s Word. These translators are supported by engaging financial and prayer partners and other ministry organizations.

The Seed Company has also been innovative in establishing new approaches for defining the needs and the funding of specific projects by clearly defining time, cost and results. Linguistic and technical training are provided. Translated Scripture is checked for clarity and accuracy. Close ties of accountability are established. Supporting partners share in the struggles and successes of the project. The results? Another people group receiving God’s message in their own heart language! 

We have set a goal of beginning translation in an additional 225 languages in the next three years. And 1000 new translation projects by 2015! Ambitious? Yes! Impossible? Humanly speaking, yes. But that’s where faith and passion meet. By connecting supporting individuals, groups and churches with national translators and their projects, we can speed up the production of clear and accurate Scripture for those without it. It’s a great goal with eternal results!
